Network Engineer (w/m/d)

Do you want to do more than just manage networks — do you want to truly understand, design, and develop them? Are you just as excited by complex architectures in data center environments as you are by modern technologies related to cloud connectivity, automation, and SDN? Then you’ve come to the right place. You’ll take on responsibilities early on and continuously develop your technical skills, always supported by an experienced team that shares knowledge and collaborates to build solutions.

Your tasks & topics

• Operation, further development, and security of our network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, uplinks)
• Design and implementation of complex network architectures for high-availability setups (e.g., distributed locations and data centers, EVPN)
• Integration of cloud connections and further development of hybrid infrastructures
• Automation and standardization (Infrastructure as Code with Ansible and Terraform)
• Operation of security and firewall solutions (including Fortigate)
• Analysis and resolution of issues, as well as continuous optimization

What you bring to the table

• In-depth networking expertise and practical experience in network design and -operation (preferably across all OSI layers, routing, and switching)
• Experience with at least one of the following vendors: Juniper (JunOS), Dell (DNOS), Cisco, Fortinet, or comparable
• Strong knowledge of dynamic routing: BGP (ideally full-table routing), OSPF
• Experience with firewalls and VPNs
• Confident demeanor when interacting with customers and experience managing service providers
• Experience in purchasing and procuring network equipment
• Experience with network services and related systems (e.g., Linux-based services, infrastructure components)
• Expertise or strong interest in: automation (Ansible, Terraform), Software-Defined Networking (SDN), and cloud network connections
