  1. Information about the collection of personal data

    On this page, we provide information about the collection of personal data when using the website available at dg-i.net (“website”). The controller pursuant to Art. 4 (7) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is Dembach Goo Informatik GmbH & Co. KG (all contact details can be found in the imprint).

    When you contact us by email or via a contact form, we will store the data you provide (your email address, your name and telephone number, if applicable) in order to deal with your request. We will delete the data collected in this context once it is no longer necessary to store it, or we will restrict processing if there are legal retention obligations.

    If we use commissioned service providers for individual functions of our offer or would like to use your data for advertising purposes, we will inform you in detail below about the respective processes. We will also specify the defined criteria for the storage period.

  2. Informational use of the website

    When using the website for informational purposes only, i.e. if you do not provide us with any other information, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to view our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to ensure stability and security (legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR):

    • Date and time of the request
    • Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
    • Content of the request (specific page)
    • Access status/HTTP status code
    • Amount of data transferred in each case
    • Website from which the request originates
    • Browser
    • Operating system and its interface
    • Language and version of the browser software.

    In addition to the aforementioned data, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. This website uses the following two types of cookies, the scope and functionality of which are explained below: transient cookies (see lit. a) below) and persistent cookies (see lit. b) below).

    You can configure your browser settings according to your preferences and, for example, refuse to accept third-party cookies or all cookies. However, you may then not be able to use all functions

    1. Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. These include, in particular, session cookies. These store a so-called session ID, which can be used to assign various requests from your browser to the shared session. This allows your computer to be recognized when you return to our website. The session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.

    2. Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period of time, which may vary depending on the cookie. You can delete cookies at any time in your browser’s security settings.

  3. Usage analysis with Matomo (formerly Piwik)

    This website uses Matomo, an open-source software running on the web server we operate for the statistical analysis of visitor traffic. Cookies are used for this purpose. The usage information generated by the cookies is transmitted to our server and stored for usage analysis purposes, which allows and helps us to optimize the website. Your IP address is immediately anonymized during this process, so that we cannot draw any conclusions about you as a person.     You can object to the collection of the aforementioned data by not checking the box below.   4. Google Maps

    The website uses (with a 2-click solution) the Google Maps API to visually display geographic information. When you visit websites that have Google Maps embedded on them, your location will be collected — with your consent — and transmitted to a Google server in the United States. Details on which data categories Google processes when using its services are available here. There, you can also change your settings in the Privacy Center to prevent the collection of the relevant data. The legal basis for the use of Google Maps is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

  5. Contact via email or telephone

    There are two ways for visitors to our website to contact us: by phone and by email. In both cases, the data you provide (e.g. your name, contact details, and your request) will be processed by us in order to respond to your inquiry. The data collected in this context will be deleted when we no longer need it to handle your request. The legal basis for the processing mentioned here is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR.

  6. Applying to DG-i

    If you apply to us via our application portal or by other means, e.g. via direct email, all information provided to us is voluntary, but we do, of course, need meaningful information about your professional qualifications so that we can consider you for the position to be filled. We process the data provided to us during the application process for the purpose of handling this application process. If we hire you, we will transfer your data to your personnel file. Otherwise, we store all applicant data for ten years in order to recognize applicants in future applications and to be able to better track their career development. However, we will gladly delete your application documents if you request us to do so, as long as there is no legal retention obligation that prevents deletion.

    The legal basis for processing your data for the application process is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, and for storage, your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

    You have the following rights with regard to us concerning your personal data:
